| What is SABPAC?
The SOPHE/AAHE Baccalaureate Program Approval Committee (SABPAC) is a voluntary credential for undergraduate professional programs in health education. Approval is a designation awarded by a conjoint committee of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) and American Association for Health Education (AAHE). Approval is recognized by the profession as a standard for entry-level health education preparation programs. The Purpose of SABPAC: Develop an approval process for credentialing undergraduate programs that prepare professional health education specialists; Implement this process through utilizing information resulting from Program Self Study and external Site Team program review; Recommend a program approval status based upon established criteria; and Work closely with the Division of Professional Preparation of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
