The Center for Online Resources & Education (CORE) serves as a one-stop portal for eLearning, virtual engagement and Continuing Education (CE) tracking. This integrated learning management system provides access to content for professional development and career advancement for health education and health promotion professionals.

The eLearning content in CORE covers many vital aspects of the field of health and education. Our annual meeting webcasts and webinars showcases the cutting edge and critical issues identified by SOPHE members and health and education professionals worldwide. From community assessment to grant writing and evaluation, CORE offers many opportunities for enhancing skills for immediate application to your work.

CORE also allows those certified in health education (CHES/MCHES) or public health (CPH) to easily earn and track their renewal credits. Track your competencies gained as you track your areas of professional growth.

SOPHE, including its chapters, is a designated multiple event provider of Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). National SOPHE is among the largest providers of continuing education for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES).  SOPHE is also an approved provider of the Certificate in Public Health Renewal Credits by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

Please note – National SOPHE is the largest provider of continuing education for CHES. SOPHE submits quarterly reports to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) containing all National SOPHE sponsored, chapter sponsored, and self-study continuing education events.  The reports are submitted on the 15th of April, July, October, and January.  Therefore, your transcript may not immediately reflect CECH earned through SOPHE. We ask that you maintain your Certificate of Attendance for any SOPHE sponsored event in your files until you see it reported on your transcript (available only through NCHEC’s website at www.nchec.org).
