SOPHE, including its chapters, is a designated multiple event provider of Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). National SOPHE is among the largest provider of continuing education for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES).

Continuing Education Opportunities through SOPHE:
- National SOPHE Meetings – offered twice a year
- Self Study
- Participate in a webinar – live webinars and recorded versions are both eligible for CECH
- Complete a Journal Self Study Test – two tests are offered per issue of both journals
- Review or Publish a Manuscript in a SOPHE Journal
- Chapter Events – attend a chapter event, local to you!
- SOPHE's Summer Webinar Series - hosted each summer and full of new and exciting CE opportunities!

Please note – National SOPHE is among the largest provider of continuing education for CHES. SOPHE submits quarterly reports to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) each year containing all National SOPHE sponsored, chapter sponsored, and self study continuing education events. The reports are submitted on the 15th of April, July, October, and January. Therefore, your transcript may not immediately reflect CECH earned through SOPHE. We ask that you maintain your Certificate of Attendance for any SOPHE sponsored event in your files until you see it reported on your transcript (available only through NCHEC’s web site at www.nchec.org).
