Schedule a CDCynergy Training
Unlock the full potential of CDCynergy for your program by attending a CDCynergy interactive workshop. View the Training Calendar to see workshops currently scheduled. Or, contact National SOPHE to schedule an additional training in your area. The workshop will also provide an overview of the health communication content, and allow participants to use the multi-media resources available in the CD-ROM. By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Describe the importance of using systematic planning models to plan health intervention and communication programs.
- Describe the purpose and phases of CDCynergy’s health communication model.
- Locate the six phases of CDCynergy (and appropriate steps within each) and demonstrate how to access the information in each phase on the tutorial.
- Navigate these built-in functions: examples, resources, tools for research, experts, media, arrows, pull-down menus, index, glossary, and help.
- Move from the CDCynergy tutorial to a preferred word processing software in order to develop a communication plan.
- Demonstrate the use of CDCynergy to a co-worker.
- Use (or apply) CDCynergy within personal professional practice.
- Identify at least one health information resource or tool (that is not a part of CDCynergy) that can be used to augment each of the six phases of CDCynergy.
Although the full-day training is recommended in order to maximize the experience for navigation and exercises, and has been approved for up to 5.0 Category I CHES, the 4 hour training is now also available and approved for 3.5 Category I CHES.
