I am pleased to share a few new updates that align with our 2030 strategic plan that help ensure that SOPHE is a sustainable, innovative, and future ready. We are investing in staff capacity and strengthening our team to advance our work at SOPHE.

Welcoming Eunice Lee

Please join me in welcoming the newest member of our SOPHE team, Eunice Lee. Eunice is our Associate Director, Professional Development. She is responsible for our professional development portfolio, including our signature events, year-round online learning in CORE, and our awards program. Eunice brings more than 15 years of experience in professional development, conference planning and stakeholder engagement. We are excited to have Eunice join our team and look forward to the experience and enthusiasm she brings to SOPHE. I hope you can welcome and connect with her as she gets settled into her new role.

A New Position for Iris Chou

I am also pleased to announce Iris Chou’s new position at SOPHE. Iris is our Specialist, Membership and Professional Development. This new role reflects our evolving needs and recognizes Iris for her contributions to providing membership and professional development support to the team. She is working closely with Eunice on our awards program, event registration, and continuing education reporting. In her dual role, Iris is one of the first points of contact for member support and answering questions. We appreciate Iris’ continued contributions to SOPHE for over five years.

Committee Charges: Setting the Course

Finally, the Board of Trustees recently voted on the updated committee charges. We have posted these committee charges on the SOPHE website. The charges clarify the purpose, priorities, and responsibilities of our committees. Our committees play a focused role in turning our strategic priorities into action through thoughtful planning, collaboration, and problem-solving. If you aren’t part of a committee yet, we encourage you to find ways to get involved.
