Firearm-safety Among Children & Teens Consortium (FACTS)
This particular webinar is an installment of the Summit Webinar Series. Finding gaps in the research of firearm deaths among U.S. Children and Teens is what led the NIH funding of a research consortium called Firearm-safety Among Children & Teens Consortium (FACTS).
Fellow principal investigator, Marc Zimmerman, Ph.D., a professor of public health at the U-M School for Public Health, and Patrick Carter, M.D., an assistant professor of emergency medicine both part of the consortium leadership team, will discuss how to seek funding to jump-start the field of pediatric and adolescent research. In this webinar, participants will be able to learn about evaluation and evidence-based participatory research on firearm injury prevention and use these resources to support their advocacy portfolios at the 2018 Advocacy Summit.
