Tiffany Thigpen
Tiffany Thigpen is an Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coordinator at the Pitt County Health Department in North Carolina.
Inspired by her mother and growing up in the tight-knit community in Warren County, NC, Thigpen knew she wanted to go into healthcare as her passions lie in helping others and giving back to the community. After a car accident high school, she defied all odds, embodied perseverance and determination, and eventually got her back on her feet again.
Using her life experiences and her education from East Carolina University (BS in Nutrition/Dietetics), Thigpen encourages others and strives to make the world a better place.
Her interests in health education include nutrition, heart disease, and stroke prevention. In SOPHE, Tiffany has volunteered as a Program Committee Member, Advocacy Chair, Past-president, and Mission President.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids, baking, and reading.
