Overall, his work revolves around substance use prevention, recovery, coalition building, and other multiple grant projects.

Neville grew up in Mebane, NC and received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He attained his master’s degree in health promotion from Mississippi State University. He has a certification as a Wellness & Health Coach and as a Certified Peer Educator facilitator, and is also training to become a SMART Recovery certified facilitator.

Neville always wanted to become a health educator. He knew that he wanted to go into a field to help others see the potential in themselves and achieve great things to improve their health. To Jonah, meeting new people and seeing people thrive is one of the most rewarding things about being in the field.

I have so much today because of so many amazing people that invested their time and teachings into me. I think one that sticks out wasn’t necessarily advice, but just “try to be the professional for students that you know you needed as a student.
