Webinar: Fourth Generation Intervention Planning for Health Promotion
Webinar
Participants enhance their understanding of the evolution of health promotion interventions and the specific ability to apply the latest fourth-generation interventions in practice settings.
The explicit development, implementation, and evaluation process of a fourth-generation multi-theory model (MTM) of health behavior change based intervention to promote physical activity in African American women in a community setting will be discussed.
The recruitment and outreach applied to engage and retain the women minority participants from the urban communities; steps in an interventional program; session activities to support theory constructs; and the statistical analysis of data collected using a valid and reliable tool along with the anthropometric and clinical data will be described.
The process evaluation to determine intervention fidelity including the participants’ recommendation and the feasibility for broader community implementation will be presented.
