Cincinnati selected as site for the 2027 SOPHE Annual Conference

Alexandria, VA – The Society of Public Health Education (SOPHE) is excited to announce that Cincinnati, OH has been selected as the site for the 2027 SOPHE Annual Conference, returning to the Ohio city for the first time since 2002.

The 78th SOPHE Annual Conference will be held on March 17-19, 2027, and both themes and tracks will be rolled out over the next few months.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Cincinnati for the first time in over 20 years,” SOPHE Deputy CEO Maricela Arias-Cantu said. “Cincinnati is an accessible, state-of-the-art, and vibrant cultural city. It is a friendly location that is centrally located to welcome colleagues together to connect about the latest health education and promotion research policy and practice. The recent investments the city has made to modernizing their convention district provide a cutting-edge environment, so our conference attendees can feel inspired, innovative and future-focused.”

Cincinnati was selected by the SOPHE Annual Conference Site Selection Committee after considering proposals from various cities in different geographical locations (West Coast/Mountain, Midwest, South/Southwest, East Coast) – the most recent conferences were in Atlanta, St. Louis, Long Beach, and Portland.

The process also involves asking SOPHE members for location preferences followed by analyzing numerous different factors with a given location including hotels, transportation, and costs.
